Capt. Anderson was appointed to serve on Louisiana Board of River Pilot Review and Oversight in 2017.  Capt. Anderson is a member of the Board of River Port Pilot Commissioners for the Port of New Orleans.  He has served as a commissioned River Port Pilot since January of 1980.

Capt. Anderson is a life-long resident of the State of Louisiana.  He graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in  1977.
